We will withdraw support to Goa's BJP govt, says MGP chief Deepak Dhavalikar; party to back Congress in Lok Sabha polls

Panaji: The Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) Friday mentioned it will quickly withdraw assist to the BJP authorities in Goa.

The MGP has expressed assist to the Congress for Lok Sabha election and Mapusa bypoll, each of which can be held on 23 April.

The MGP and Congress have fielded their candidates for the Shiroda bypoll as effectively.

“We have decided to withdraw support to the Pramod Sawant government. We will soon be writing to Governor Mridula Sinha,” MGP president Deepak Dhavalikar mentioned.

Dhavalikar mentioned that the social gathering has determined to assist Congress in each the Lok Sabha seats in Goa.

Recently, two MGP MLAs Manohar Ajgaonkar and Deepak Pawaskar had left the social gathering to hitch BJP, lowering the previous’s power to 1 within the 40-member House.
