The primary look of Stan & Ollie starring Steve Coogan and John C Reilly as comedy legends Laurel and Hardy has been launched. The actors are unrecognisable as they gear as much as painting the long-lasting comedians within the late years of their careers.

Whereas Reilly is a spitting picture of Oliver Hardy, nailing the look with a tiny mustache and neatly combed out hair protruding from the bowler hat, Coogan is a really convincing Stan Laurel in his dotted purple bowtie and an identical hat.
Dressed within the Laurel and Hardy’s trademark high-waisted black fits, Coogan and Reilly’s near-perfect resemblance to the duo proves the function was meant for them. Of their heydays, the slapstick double act acted in about 107 movies which included each quick in addition to characteristic movies and cameo roles. After tasting success within the silent movie period in Hollywood, the duo went on a number of profitable excursions in a profession spanning over 25 years.
The movie will primarily deal with the final of their excursions with an emphasis on the relationships they shared with their wives. Hardy’s spouse is being portrayed by Shirley Henderson and Laurel’s companion is being performed by Nina Arianda.
Directed by Jon S Baird, Stan & Ollie will shut the BFI London Movie Pageant in October.
