New Delhi: Practically a month after quitting the Nationalist Congress Social gathering, Tariq Anwar Saturday joined the Congress after assembly its chief Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi, sources stated.

Anwar alongside along with his supporters met Gandhi at his Tughlaq Lane residence and was welcomed into the get together fold, the sources stated.

The previous MP from Katihar Lok Sabha constituency would make a proper announcement of his becoming a member of the Congress get together later within the day, they stated.

Anwar introduced he was quitting the NCP and was additionally giving up his Lok Sabha membership on 28 September after Sharad Pawar’s “defence” of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Rafale fighter jet deal. Pawar was quoted within the media as having given a clear chit to Modi on the deal.
