EC asks Raj Thackeray for details of MNS rallies; party conducted dozen public meetings for LS polls without fielding any candidates


New Delhi: The Election Commission of India has requested for particulars of bills of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray’s rallies, Additional Chief Electoral Officer Dilip Shinde stated on Thursday.

As per experiences, Thackeray performed practically a dozen public rallies for the Lok Sabha elections though his occasion didn’t discipline a single candidate for the polls.

Targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah, Thackeray appealed voters to not forged their votes in favour of the occasion and its alliance companions with a purpose to guarantee Modi’s defeat within the normal elections.

Per week after Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sunil Arora introduced the schedule of Lok Sabha elections, Thackeray introduced that MNS is not going to contest the continued elections.

Seven-phase elections, which started on 11 April, will culminate on 19 May, and outcomes might be declared on 23 May.

In the 2014 normal elections, MNS was unable to win any seat.
