AZURE Entertainment and Viacom18 Motion Pictures announced a collaboration to produce Jeethu Joseph’s Hindi film debut on 19 February in a statement.

“Directing a Hindi feature film has been on the anvil for some time and I have been waiting for the right story. This crime mystery thriller with elements of horror has excited me tremendously and we have got perfect casting for the two protagonists in the film. I am looking forward to start the film at the earliest,” said Joseph.

The yet untitled film will be shot in a single schedule between May and July.

Emraan said that the project will be “a riveting, nail biting treat for fans of the genre and with Jeethu at the helm of things. I’m confident the film will be a game changer”.

Ajit Andhare, Chief Operating Officer, Viacom18 Motion Pictures, said, “Ever since we produced Drishyam, a Hindi remake of Jeethu Joseph’s original masterpiece, we have been looking for a subject to make with Jeethu in Hindi.”

Homi Adjania will direct Hindi Medium sequel starring Irrfan Khan; will Sara Ali Khan be part of the film?

We already know that there will be a sequel to the Irrfan Khan-Saba Qamar starrer Hindi Medium.

The Saket Chaudhary-directed movie garnered widespread praise and received high critical acclaim after its initial 2017 release. Written by Zeenat Lakhani, Hindi Medium is a story about what the parents (Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar) of a five-year-old girl would do to get their daughter educated at a reputed English medium school.

The movie ended up winning the award for the Best Film at the 2018 Jio Filmfare Awards.

It was also reported that Sara Ali Khan — who is supposed to make her Bollywood debut alongside Sushant Singh Rajput with the movie Kedarnath — has been roped in to play the role of Irrfan Khan’s daughter in the sequel of Hindi Medium.

Now, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the makers of the movie have found a director for the sequel.

Homi Adajania — who has been a longtime collaborator with both Dinesh Vijan and Saif Ali Khan — is being brought on board to direct the sequel for Hindi Medium. Adajania has earlier directed movies like Being Cyrus, Cocktail and Finding Fanny, all of which have been produced by Dinesh Vijan.

Dinesh Vijan confirmed the news to Mumbai Mirror, saying, “Homi doesn’t make films very often as he refuses to do stuff that doesn’t bowl him over. But when I narrated this one to him, he loved it. And when I saw his reaction, it was a no-brainer! I guess from our production house’s stable of directors, Homi was the most unlikely choice for Hindi Medium 2 and that’s exactly why I have signed him on.”

Homi Adajania, who hasn’t directed a movie since 2014’s Finding Fanny, said he enjoyed Hindi Medium so much that he told Vijan he’d be happy to direct it if he had no director attached to the project.

“I won’t be the man (to direct the next Bond). No, categorically,” Nolan told BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs.

But he would love to helm a Bond film, reports

“I think every time they hire a new director I’m rumoured to be doing it. I’d love to make a Bond film at some point and I think those producers — Barbara and Michael (Broccoli and G Wilson) — they do a tremendous job and Sam Mendes has done a terrific job the last couple of films, so they don’t particularly need me.

“But I’ve always been inspired by the films and would love to do one someday,” he said.
