Describing the plea as a step aimed toward influencing the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the previous Uttar Pradesh chief minister stated it’s BJP’s newest ballot gimmick.

“The step taken by the central government on Tuesday is a blatant government interference and aimed at influencing the coming Lok Sabha elections against which people need to remain vigilant,” Mayawati stated in a press release.

“BJP is now feeling that it will not return to power at the Centre after the SP-BSP alliance in Uttar Pradesh and out of frustration both the BJP-led Central and state governments are doing what is least expected from an elected government working as per the Constitution,” she stated.

Facing rising strain to maneuver swiftly on the Ram temple concern, the Modi authorities on Tuesday requested the Supreme Court to permit it to return the “non-disputed” surplus land acquired across the disputed construction in Ayodhya to a Hindu belief and different unique homeowners, in a major transfer forward of the Lok Sabha polls.

Mayawati stated that after dropping folks’s religion and incomes a foul identify for failing to meet the guarantees it made, BJP is left with the final resort of “playing the religion card”.

“BJP feels that this is the last gimmick left with them and so they are resorting to it,” she stated.

The BSP chief stated the transfer depicts “narrow nationalism as was evident in the other decisions of the BJP government like the Citizenship Bill”.
