Ashok Leyland fourth quarter net declines 12% at Rs 653 cr; says on way to successful introduction of BS-VI


New Delhi: Commercial car main Ashok Leyland on Friday reported 12.12 p.c decline in web revenue at Rs 652.99 crore for March quarter, 2018-19.

The firm posted a revenue of Rs 743.12 crore for a similar interval of 2017-18.

Income from operations rose to Rs 8,722.59 crore for the March quarter as in contrast with Rs 8,651.55 crore within the year-ago interval, Ashok Leyland mentioned in a regulatory submitting.

For 2018-19 fiscal, the Chennai-based agency reported a consolidated revenue of Rs 2,194.6 crore as towards Rs 1,813.82 crore within the earlier yr, a rise of 21 p.c.

Income from operations stood at Rs 32,753.24 crore for final fiscal as in contrast with Rs 29,522.13 crore in 2017-18.

Ashok Leyland CFO Gopal Mahadevan mentioned the corporate has grown its market share in each vehicles and buses within the fourth quarter and can proceed to give attention to the dual engines of progress and profitability.

“We continue to be net cash positive at the year-end with over Rs 700 crore of cash,” he famous.
The firm’s board beneficial a dividend of Rs 3.10 per share of Re 1 every for 2018-19.

Ashok Leyland shares Friday ended 5.46 p.c up at Rs 93.65 apiece on the BSE.
