AMU Students' Union polls: Voting underway amid heavy security to elect president, fill four other positions


Lucknow: Voting was underway on Saturday for the Aligarh Muslim College Scholar’s Union (AMUSU) elections amid powerful safety, officers mentioned.

Polling cubicles have been arrange in 14 departments and voting will proceed until 5 pm.

There shall be a one-hour break in voting within the afternoon, a ballot official mentioned.

There are 18,886 voters within the varsity whereas the Girls’s Faculty has 3,014 voters.

Polling is being achieved within the prestigious college for the positions of president, vice-president, secretary, court docket member and cupboard member.

There’s heavy deployment of police to take care of legislation and order.
